So here is the Christmas post... We had 8 Christmas trees
in the house this year. I know what you're thinking...8 trees?
It truly was amazing to behold my house.
I don't think its ever felt as magical.
I mean... sure it was alot of work
but seeing my children's faces was worth the
3 days it took to put everything up.

This was another favorite part...
my Great Grandmother's Christmas ornaments.
Grandma Irene made all these ornaments
out of her antique peices of jewlery. I hung them
over my hutch that my Mom (and my Dad) gave me with
her Christmas china and all her crystal that
she received from her side of the family.
My daughter's and I had really
special time looking at this every day.

The girls and I had tons of fun playing dress-up the table for
Christmas dinner. Why do girls (women) love to do this so much?
Any how these pictures are just for you Mom!!
And yes Dad, that is a huge prime rib cooked to perfection,
you should have had some... YUM-O

So this Christmas we decided to cut back, probably like most
Americans. We exchanged gifts but I'd have to say
that, unanimously, the best presents were the ones
that were acts of service for eachother.
Some chose to do acts of time, some an actual
service... but all of these "gifts of the heart"
were better than the store bought.
I think this will be a new Hedges family tradition.
We hope you all enjoyed your holidays as much as
we did and had tons of fun!
